Duhnen (von Dünen) is a seaside resort (Seebad ) along the North Sea, within the district of Cuxhaven, Germany. It is located in Lower Saxony, 351 kilometres (km, 218 mi) west of Berlin and 5 km (3 miles) from Cuxhaven's centre. It was first incorporated in 1935, over 100 years after Cuxhaven was established. Visitors to the nearby island of Neuwerk commonly travel through Duhnen. It was at one time a remote fishing and farming village, but today is one of the tourist centres of Cuxland.
