Miradouro de Santa Luzia - Lisboa
Viewpoint Of Santa Luzia - Lisbon
This is one of Lisbon's most romantic corners. It's a terrace next to a white church offering views over the rooftops of Alfama and the river, and with places to sit under grapevines. On one of the church's walls is a tile panel showing St. George's Castle being taken over from the Moors in 1147, and another of Comercio Square before it was destroyed in the 1755 earthquake. Other tiles depicting geometric shapes cover the walls of the terrace, although time and looting have sadly destroyed many of them.
