Philipp Rösler (born 24 February 1973) is a German politician and currently (since 2011) the Federal Minister of Economics and Technology and the Vice Chancellor of Germany. He is the Chairman of the liberal Free Democratic Party (since 2011). Rösler, who was born in Vietnam, is the first cabinet minister of Asian background in Germany.
